Maritana extends gold mineralisation at Boorara

By Paula Fabe.

Maritana Minerals (ASX:MRT) reports it has extended gold mineralisation at its Boorara Gold Project in Western Australia.

Assays received for 67 holes of the company’s 119-hole, 17,246m campaign returned 23m @ 1.80 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 177m, including 1m @ 6.88g/t Au from 181m; and 6m @ 3.68g/t Au from 203m, including 13.87g/t Au from 205m.

Significant infill results include 19m @ 2.32g/t Au from 142m, including 1m @ 4.80g/t Au; 24m @ 2.38g/t Au from 122m, including 3m @ 4.91g/t Au; 1m @ 145.07g/t Au from 105m; and 4m @ 8.52g/t Au from 141m, including 1m @ 29.14g/t Au.

The drilling forms part of a wider resource-conversion program spanning approximately 60,000m across multiple projects.

Managing Director Grant Haywood says the results confirm that gold mineralisation at Boorara extends beyond the floor of planned pit four, approximately 90m below the current limits of previous mining, and remains open at depth.

“Once all assays from the program are received, they will be incorporated into an updated mineral resource estimate for Boorara and assessed in pit optimisation work below the current design as we work towards a restart of mining in Boorara in mid-2027,” Haywood notes.

Mining at Boorara was paused in December 2025, with the site currently on care and maintenance ahead of a targeted mid-2027 restart. The project is a key ore source for Maritana’s Black Swan Processing Hub.

Remaining assay results are expected early in the December quarter, with an updated mineral resource estimate targeted for completion during the March quarter of 2027.

The company also notes that multi-stage grade-control drilling will precede open-pit production in mid-2027.

Maritana Minerals is an emerging mid-tier gold producer focused on developing its portfolio of open-pit and underground deposits and its Black Swan Processing Hub.
